Three Windows Recovered, Rogaland Kunstsenter, Stavanger

The work is site-specific and the subject of the work is the space itself, which acts as both the source of inspiration for the work and the place of its presentation. Three windows have been boarded up, to increase wall space in the gallery. These have been revealed through life-size paintings. The paintings depict the windows and the view that they would give of the street outside. The windows are painted in 1:1 scale.

The aim of the work is to examine how original architectural features get changed or covered up during the life of a building and according to its different funtions over time. The style of work and the blue colur used refers to "“blueprints” which used to be produced for architectural or other plans.
